Assalamu’alaikum and Salam Sejahtera.
Dear fellow members of SAHOCA KL,
I am deeply honoured and humbled to stand before you today as the newly elected President of our alumni association, SAHOCA KL, for the two-year term, 2023 to 2025. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing President, En Mirzan Tun Mahathir and the 2021/2023 council members for their tireless efforts and remarkable contributions to our alumni community. En. Mirzan’s strong leadership and committed Council members have caused SAHOCA KL to flourish and succeed, and I am grateful for their dedication and commitment.
I also want to extend a warm welcome to the Incoming Council members. I am excited to work with all of you to continue advancing our SAHOCA KL and to find new ways to engage and support our alumni community. Together, I believe we can build upon the strong foundation laid by our predecessors and take SAHOCA KL to new heights.
As we embark on this new journey together, I want to emphasise the importance of collaboration and inclusivity. Our alumni community is diverse, with members from different backgrounds, professions, and experiences. I believe that our diversity is our strength, and I want to work to create an environment where all alumni feel welcome and valued.
In the coming months, I plan to work closely with the new councils and sub-committees of SAHOCA KL to develop new initiatives and programs that will benefit our alumni and our school, Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid. I am committed to ensuring that our alumni association is a vibrant and active community that offers meaningful opportunities for networking, professional development, and community service.
One of my top priorities as President will be to strengthen the relationship between our alumni and our alma mater. Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid has played a significant role in shaping who we are today, and I believe that we have a special responsibility to give back and support its continued growth and success. I want to work to create more opportunities for alumni to volunteer, mentor current students in Kolej, and support charitable causes that align with our values and mission set by SAHOCA KL founding members.
I also want to emphasise the importance of giving back to our community. Our alumni have achieved so much, and we have a responsibility to use our collective talents and resources to make a positive impact on the world around us. I take this opportunity to express my most profound appreciation to sponsors among our alumni who have supported our cause in SAHOCA KL over the years. Your contributions have helped us to achieve our goals and make a positive impact in our community.
In closing, thank you again for this incredible opportunity to serve as your President for the next two years. I am excited about the possibilities and look forward to working with all of you to achieve our shared goals. Together, I believe that we can create a vibrant and dynamic SAHOCA KL that will continue to thrive for years to come. As we progress, I encourage you to stay connected and engaged with SAHOCA KL. Whether it is attending events, volunteering your time and expertise, or simply staying in touch with fellow alumni, your involvement is essential to the success of SAHOCA KL. Let’s continue to strive for excellence.
